Iberia increases its offer to Costa Rica in 2013 PDF Print E-mail

Iberia airline is offering many innovations to the Costa Rican market for this year (2013).� One of the new changes is the increases in 6% of seats between San Jose and Madrid, approximately 250000 new seats.

Costa Rica has just become one of the most growing markets in the last years for Iberia that currently is offering a daily flight between San Jose and Madrid. To obtain this increase in supply, the company will operate mores flights with its large aircraft, the Airbus A340-600; this aircraft offer 342 seats, 42 in Business class and 300 in the Tourist class. During the last year (2012) 194000 passengers flew with Iberia in the route San Jos�-Madrid, with an 85% aircraft occupancy rate.

The Director of International Sales of Iberia Airline, �ngel Valdemoros, added “The significant growth of Iberia in Costa Rica on times of difficulties as the current; shows the importance of the country four our strategy. We trust that the new products that are available to our customers allow consolidating our leadership position and our role as a favorite airline for the passengers who fly between Costa Rica and Europe”.

Allan Flores, Minister of� Tourism of Costa Rica, explain that is really important to note that Costa Rica represents a market of great relevance to Europe, not only because Iberia airline flying daily to Costa Rica, but also because now incorporates the largest aircraft for this connection.

These many innovations, added Flores, allow Costa Rica to connect with its biggest markets of tourists and the most important generators of foreign currency by concept of tourism from Europe to de Central America country.� Finally, Flores said “(�) we have to develop a cooperative campaign with the airline, to promote the destination through a joint advertising to engage with more effectively to the potential customers.”
