Liberia has become the place to start your Costa Rica adventure travel and the Daniel Oduber Quiros International Airport is the way to get there.
There are four international airports in Costa Rica, including the Daniel Oduber Airport, which is the perfect gateway for those who visit the Northern Pacific coast.
The airport is just 30 minutes away from the Papagayo Gulf (Four Seasons Pagapayo, Hilton Papagayo, Casa Conde del Mar) but also, 45 minutes to an hour from the other resorts like Westin Playa Cochal, RIU Guanacaste, Tamarindo Diria and JW Marriott at Hacienda Pinilla.
The airport is named after a Costa Rican president who served from 1974 to 1978.
In October 1995 the airport was re-inaugurated as an international airport, as a part of the expansion for the country and this year it counts with a modern terminal. This airport has been recognized as one of the best small airports in the world.
