In the opinion of tourists, Guanacaste is heading in the right direction |

Statistics from the Ministry of Public Works and Transportation (MOPT, by its initials in Spanish), reveal that between 2006 and 2008 the figure of $26 millions has been invested in the national highway network in Guanacaste, under the road maintenance heading which includes such aspects as resurfacing roads, cleaning ditches and bridges, repairs and patching, among others.
 Tourists appreciate the investment that has been made in recent years in Guanacaste by the MOPT and the Municipalities. They have shown a large degree of satisfaction in relation to the conditions of the roads of this province.
This came out in the survey conducted during the first quarter of the year by the Chamber of Tourism of Guanacaste (CATURGUA), results which show that the degree of satisfaction went from being classified bad in 2006 to good in 2008, with close to double the score. |
