Un año después de su fundación la adquiere el señor Carlos Alfaro Mc Adam, quien la fortalece en su programación y potencia y expande sus actividades a todo el país con emisoras locales utilizando el mismo nombre de RADIO COLUMBIA. Implemento la estrategia de unirlas en cadena nacional para los programas de noticieros y eventos deportivos, así como otros que fueran de interés general.
