Patronato Nacional de la Infancia

El Patronato Nacional de la Infancia es la instituci�n rectora en materia de derechos de la ni�ez y la adolescencia y fue creada el 15 de agosto de 1930 por iniciativa del Profesor Luis Felipe Gonz�lez Flores. Su creaci�n se define en el art�culo 55 de la Constituci�n Pol�tica de 1949, que indica que "La protecci�n especial de la madre y el menor estar� a cargo de una Instituci�n aut�noma denominada Patronato Nacional de la Infancia , con la colaboraci�n de otras instituciones del Estado".
