 The current World Champion of Indoor Soccer will be in Costa Rica for two friendly games. The Brazilian national team will confront the Costa Rican team at the Cartago Sports Complex next December 14-16. The Costa Rican Football Federation (Fedefútbol) announced details that surround the historical visit of the world champion team to Costa Rican soil, to face the local, national team in Cartago. The Federation will pay the total cost of the travel packages to Costa Rica, to bring the “Canarinhos”, as they are known.
According to Rafael Vargas, president of the Costa Rican Federation of Indoor Soccer (Futsal), the complex was chosen because of it has all requirements demanded by Brazilians: a synthetic court of 20 meters wide and 40 meters long.
Organizers also announced the price of tickets to watch each game: ¢7000 colones. People who want to be at both games will pay ¢11.000 colones. Tickets are available, and they can be purchased at the Crowne Plaza, one of the most prestigious Costa Rica hotels, among other places.
To attend the games will be definitely one of the top ten things to do in Costa Rica for thousands of Indoor Soccer fans, in the beginning of Costa Rica holidays, according to organizers.
Besides, Vargas said that the Central American, North and Caribbean Confederation confirmed the possibility that Costa Rica organize the Third Premundial tournament on next June 1 to July 1.
He also explained the South American team request only a few simple things and indicated that ticket prices will be just to cover the costs of the event.
In the other hand, the National coach, Hugo Retana, was more than satisfied by with the possibility to face the Brazilians twice in Costa Rica. The world champions have a 93% record of wins, in the past 11 years, and they keep an average of seven goals per game.
