The Costa Rican Tourist Board (ICT) and the Costa Rica Association of Professionals in Tourism (Acoprot)organized an informative tour for journalists and special guests with the purpose of learning first hand the tourism offer of the zones of Turrialba and Sarapiquí for national and international travelers.
The tour included visits to agriculture and cattle companies of the zone that have turned to tourism, so people may appreciate the transformation of their activity, converting them to agro ecotourism as the Botanical Garden of CATIE and its Trade Show, where the products and services of the zone are displayed, or the Golden Bean and its Coffee Show, Tropical Garden Costa Flores, Hotel Casa Turire and Sueño Azul Hotel.
On this tour the complete offer of goods and services was made known (not only tourist ones) which Turrialba and Sarapiquí have to offer This wonderful zone, whose tourist demand is increasing more each day is one of the best destinations in Costa Rica for those wishing to enjoy nature, ecotourism and adventure.
The zone's recent tourist exploitation, with the support of the chamber of tourism, offers interesting services to travelers searching for something new, who may choose among adrenaline generating activities, as canopy, rafting and rappel, or enjoy the bounties of nature and its beautiful landscape, horse-back riding, hiking in trails and with river tours. All of it, of course, in the company of expert tourist guides, a complement for your full enjoyment during your stay in this area of our national territory.
This zone is not only trying to conserve the ecosystems, but also, incentive visitors to collaborate in this huge cause, inviting to plant trees and plants, informing about animal and plant life, recycling and progressively decreasing the use of unnecessary chemicals, that with the passing of time, in one way or the other effect the natural environment.
