More tourists coming to Costa Rica, according to the Cámara Nacional de Turismo (Canatur), there has been a 15.1% increase of tourists from Januay to April this year, compared to the same period in 2007.
The increase has reflected in an increase in sale of A-1 jet fuel of 24.03% over last year, representing the sale of 22.538.000 litres of A01 Jet from January to April, while the sale for the period in 2007 was 18.171.000 litres.
The situation is getting Recope to think to expand its airport terminal capacities to meet the growing demands.
The increase is due to more airlines now flying into Costa Rica, airlines like Spirit, Frontier, Champion Air, Sunwing Airlines, First Choice, Air Caribes and Air Comet, who all began operations last year and are responsible for adding to the 675.000 passenger seat increase over 2006.
