Sol Meliá Hotels and Resorts launched its new Family Concierge service at its five Paradisus Resorts in Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Mexico and Puerto Rico.

In-room amenities include tyke-sized bathrobes and slippers, a Sony PlayStation (optional) and a juice-stocked mini bar. Parents communicate with the family concierge via walkie-talkie to coordinate resort activities and excursions.

The new Royal Service, reserved for adults and couples, is much more grownup with suite accommodations, massage therapy classes, cocktails, gourmet dining options and an in-room bar stocked with bubbly beverages.

In addition, Paradisus also will launch classes on preparing sushi, tango dancing, massage therapy, meditation, wine tasting sessions, painting and photography.

Meanwhile, the Meliá Experience will be introduced at the Meliá Turquesa in Cancun, Meliá Puerto Vallarta and the Meliá Cozumel in time for the winter season and at the Meliá Cabo Real, also in Mexico, in 2007.
