The Punta Islita hotel (Nandayure), run by Costa Rican capital, stands out in the list of the 100 best destinations worldwide.

The acknowledgment was made by Travel + Leisure, a magazine specialized in travels, in the last month edition. The hotel is the only one in Central America to be part of the last recommendation made by the magazine as for accommodation facilities.
Among the best hotels of the world, according to Travel + Leisure, Punta Islita is number 94 in the list. However, in the list of the 25 most outstanding of Mexico, Central America and South America, the Costa Rican hotel attained the position n° 9. Harry Zürcher, president of Punta Islita, said that “the hotel positioning contributes to strengthen the image of Costa Rica as a first-class destination”.
This shows that the Costa Rican effort is not only competitive, but it can also outstrip the most known luxury chains of the planet added the businessman.
The specialized magazine also highlighted the Four Season Resort in the peninsula of Papagayo, Guanacaste. The Four Season is listed in position n°21 in the same regional ranking made by the magazine.

Recently, other magazines such as the Condé Nast Traveler and Andrew Harper have mentioned Costa Rican Hotels among their favorite. These publications included in the list of places they recommend their readers to visit during this year, the following hotels: El Silencio, located in Bajos del Toro, Valverde Vega, in Alajuela and Arenas del Mar, in Manuel Antonio, Quepos, Aguirre.
The top ten. The editors of Travel + Leisure stated that the best hotel in the world to spend vacations is Singita Sabi Sand &Kruger National Park, located in South Africa. As for accommodation facilities in Mexico, Central and South America, the magazine awarded the first place to the Alvear Palace Hotel, located in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The second place was awarded to Monasterio Hotel, in Peru. Travel +Leisure is one of the most recognized travel and tourism publications worldwide.
Both its printed and electronic versions are accessed by hundreds of demanding travelers who want to know about service quality, comfort, authenticity and environmental and social sustainability of the hotels they would like to visit, stated Zürcher.
