Costa Rica every day becomes the number one destination when you want to know Central America, its spectacular scenery make it the favorite destination for American tourists.

Amid music and dances, Juan Santamaria International Airport received on Tuesday morning the inaugural flight direct from Los Angeles, California by Delta Airline.

For the Minister of Tourism, Allan Flores, the entry of this flight will link Costa Rica with a city that is home to 12% of tourists known as the top prospects for the country. Flores adds: "This flight represents a highly relevant news for Costa Rica, is the first time that a bound is establish to our country daily and directly to the state of California on the west coast, with the highest concentration of top prospects and the second generator of tourists to our country. "

In order to enhance the efforts that have been executed, the Costa Rican Tourism Institute established a cooperative campaign with airlines, i.e. a comprehensive cooperative effort to place joint advertising and promotion of the destination product to achieve the best potential customer better.

This campaign includes advertising through geo-targeted banners on the website of the airline Delta Airline, Costa Rica advertisements on screens containing information Delta in different airports in the United States and announcements in-flight entertainment system the airline, on selected flights.

Also, starting on December 21st, 2013 and up to March 29th, 2014, Delta Air Lines will offer every Saturday a new nonstop flight between Minneapolis and San Jose, Costa Rica. This new service will operate using a Boeing 757-200 aircraft, with a capacity of between 180 and 200 seats.
