NatureAir has many reasons to be thankful for a great 2007. We are certainly thankful to our customers and their continued preference of flying with us, and we are thankful for and honored by the national and international awards we received throughout the year due to our environmental commitment and continued search for quality.

For being the first carbon-neutral airline in the world, NatureAir received a mention asa "highly recommended company" in the category of best transport and technology, low in carbon, at the Virgin Holidays Responsible Tourism Awards, which are sponsored by Virgin Holidays, an important travel company, in conjunction with World Travel Market, The Times and Geographical Magazine, the official magazine of the Royal Geographical Society. The award was announced while celebrating the International Doy of Responsible Tourism at the World Travel Market, London's global tourism fair, on November 14.
NatureAir was also featured in National Geographic's Traveler Magazine in its October 2007 "crew Edition." In an interview, Alex Khajavi, NatureAir's CEO, commented on the airline's contribution to the protection of the forests of the Osa Península, through which 6,320 tons of carbon were offset in 2006.
In December, NatureAir joined the World Heritage Alliance for Sustainable Tourism (WHA), an iniciativa founded by Expedia, Inc., and the United Nations to support UNESCO's goal of protecting 851 Patrimony of Humanity sites around the world. With its membership, NatureAir is committed to promoting sustainable tourism and to serving asa sustainable tourism bridge to the locations deemed as World Patrimony sites located within our flight destinations.
