The Costa Rica Tourist Board (ICT) begins its national campaign, aimed at all Costa Ricans, on July 3 1 st. They will publish a 24-page, full-color insert, to be included in Lo Nación and distributed at ICI's offices, Banco National, the National Chamber of Tourism (Canatur) and the Costa Rican Chamber of Hotels (CCH).

On September I I th and January 08 inserts with more tourism companies will be published. With the purpose of promoting the rediscovery of Costa Rica, and making it affordable for nationals, with attractive discounts, ICT and Banco National will invest around US $400,000.
Over 127 companies among which hotels, rent-o-cars, tour-operators and tourist transport companies will offer a 35% discount for those persons with credit or debit cards from the bank.
It is an acknowledgement to the contribution made to our country by national tourists. Tico's will feel they can afford a vacation and treat themselves to hotels in every zone," said Maria Amalie Revelo, Sub-Manager and Marketing Director of ICT.

The brochure has information, the most important data for each of the 10 tourist regions companies with different options, so that Costa Ricans can decide on trips and holidays. It will include Costa Rica's map with a detail on beaches and protected areas, information on sustainability and ICI's Certificate for the Sustainability of Tourism program (CST), as well as a special section on communal rural tourism.
The offer from companies with tourist declaratory by ICT on the inner pages, are divided by regions and in alphabetical order, highlighting those having the CST For each company you find the normal fee and the discount price, web page and telephone number.
You also find the tool-free number, 800 TURISMO so people can call and tell of their experiences.
Promotions are of 35% and valid July 31st through November 30th 2008. There's a great variety of fees ranging from $27 up to $492, all taxes included. Some include the 3 meals, tourist guide and other amenities.
