Limón expect 130 cruise ships this season PDF Print E-mail
The cruise ships’ season in the province of Limón began this month of October, and will last approximately until the month of April.

With it, the arrival of at least 130 ships from different parts of the world to this Caribbean province is estimated, with over 200 thousand foreigners touching Costa Rican land in Limón during the coming 3 months.


The cruise ships come to the country for 12 hours, and the small artisans and street vendors profit from it, offering their merchandise to the tourists.

The currency for the people of Limón, product of the cruise ships is over 400 million colones.

The season launched thanks to the contribution of the private company and the Port’s Administrative and Development Board of the Atlantic Basin.

The period of the cruise ships includes not only the large ships coming from Europe, but also from the Caribbean.
