The new establishments will expand the range of products available to tourists like liquors, watches, cameras, fine perfumes, tobaccos, and chocolates.

The establishment of duty free stores in Daniel Oduber airport is in response to the increase in the arrival of tourists through this terminal.

It is estimated that more than 500,000 visitors will arrive to Guanacaste Costa Rica this year. The two new sites will be administered by the Mixed Institute for Social Aid (IMAS) and the revenue that it generates will go to help low income families.
