Getting another star for your hotel its good news, but being nominated in Forbes Traveler one of best 400 hotels in the world, that’s a privileged. Maybe a traveler expert stayed in your hotel and could include it in the year’s list, but being like this; there was something missing in your hotel to be excluded of the list.

Regional Charm

Four Seasons Costa RicaTwenty Latin American hotels were selected to be in the list of the 400 best hotels in the world. Most of them don’t belong to the big hotel enterprises, except for one of the Costa Rican winners, the Four Seasons Costa Rica.

Another example is Lapa Ríos Rainforest Lodge, located in Carbonera Beach in the Osa Peninsula. Which received praise because its owners John and Karen Lewis, were the first people to create ecological lodges and to “spoil” their guests in the tropical jungle.

Lapa Rios Rainforest EcolodgeHans M. Pfiste from Coyuga Enterprise (administrator of the Lapa Ríos Hotel) admits that behind all recognitions there’s always lots of work.
The key of success is in the work done with the community and the staff training, which uses $20,000 from our annual budget. This, I call ‘our best investment’, affirmed Pfister.
On the other side, the expert in hotel administration pointed that most of the fails of the majority of small businesses in our country are product of unsustainable economics, with a deficient marketing or false promises in relation to environment protection.
To win international recognition we must value our authenticity when offering a different experience to our clients, and of course; to keep our promises”, pointed Pfister.
Four Seasons Costa Rica, the history is different. This hotel is part of a prestigious list way above other hotels from the same chain. Why does it stand out? Very simple to say but difficult to do:
because of its impeccable service and its fantastic cousine on the other side of the world.
