La Fortuna Hotel is the first hotel in Costa Rica with real access for the disabled. The five-level building has been totally refurbished. Its new design has a panoramic view from most bedrooms, doted with comfortable lodging service to make the most of what Lo Fortuna has to give.
The hotel has provided 12 of the 44 bedrooms with the conveniences necessary by guests with some degree of disability, so visitors with special needs can enjoy the wonders of Costa Rica without limits. That is why Fortuna Hotel motto is "TOURISM WITHOUT LIMITS." All of the hotel's premises, which include a restaurant, bar and elevator, have what international standards require for disabled people.
There's wireless Internet service any place within the hotel; even if you don't carry your own you may request a portable computer at the reception to check your e-mail.
Being located at the center of the community of La Fortuna, has easy access to many shops: souvenirs, galleries, restaurants, bars, tourist information offices, and those who promote the different eco-tourist attractions of the zone; bank services and pharmacies among others.
If you are a bit more adventurous and willing to come closer to the harmonious magic of the region, you may try the aerial tram crossing a primary forest; it reaches a wonderful viewpoint to Lake Arenal; or perhaps a rush of adrenaline on the canopy; or a night trip on a boat to enjoy the silence while observing the nocturnal species, a singular, unforgettable adventure, if you bear in mind that these two activities are possible since disability will not be a problem for complete delight.
