Jimenez Deredia’s work are hosted in front of the Coliseum

Jorge Jimenez Deredia, a very famous Costa Rican sculptor, placed his artwork in the Coliseum, Italy. They are also in the Barberini Plaza and in San Lorenzo in Lucina. The exposition is called “Deredia a Roma: La Ruta de la Paz” (“Deredia to Rome: the Peace Route”). The heavy pieces were installed in very important public spots of the Italian Metropolis.


The art shows pieces with very rounded shapes among spheres and human figures. It’s shown a very good interest from the public toward the exposition. The rest of the work will be located in the Rome’s National Museum and the Exposition Palace.


The official inauguration will be on June 22nd 2009.
