Intercontinental will open two beach hotels |

The international company Intercontinental Hotels Group (IHG) is preparing their incursion in the beach hotel business of the country. Jim Abrahamson, president of IHG in America stated that they are foreseeing to open two resort type hotels in Guanacaste and the Central Pacific. Until now, IHG has five hotels in Costa Rica, all of them in San José: Real InterContinental, Crowne Plaza Corobicí, Aurola Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express and Índigo, which opened at the beginning of May with an investment of nearly 12 million dollars.
Índigo is the first hotel of this brand that IGH opens in Latin America. It’s a boutique style hotel with 100 rooms and is located near Forum Two, in Santa Ana, San José, área of great commercial development and of strategic location.
