It refers to the hotels Punta Islita, in the province of Guanacaste, Lapa Ríos, in the Osa peninsula and the Four Seasons Resort Costa Rica -in the gulf of Papagayo.

The Punta Islita hotel was selected as "the Leading Hotel in Costa Rica" during the twentieth edition of the World Travel Award, which gathers travel agents and clients from 200 countries who voted this year.

Likewise, the hotel – which was founded 11 years ago- obtained the social responsibility award from the international association Small Luxury Hotels of the World. The hotel is one of their 360 members and they gave it the award for maintaining business practices which combine deluxe services in respect with nature.

On the other hand, the Lapa Ríos hotel was distinguished this year with the 2005 Prize to Corporative Excellency "for adapting to the environment instead of adapting it," as expressed in early November by the United States of America’s Secretary of State, Condoleezza Rice, from Washington. Founded on 1993, Lapa Ríos has been outstanding for its support to communal growth of the area and its sustainable development practices.

Last, the hotel Four Seasons Resort Costa Rica received the first place last week, as vacation resort of Central and South America, according to the annual Readers' Choice award granted by the Condé Nast Traveler magazine that valued the opinions about quality and client service from 28.000 of its readers.
