Family Reforestation Campaign |

From June 12 - 18, as a part of the Ecological Blue Flag Program, the National Family Reforestation Campaign will be carried out.
On June 15th, related to the Trees’ Day, a special act will be celebrated where the Ecological Blue Flag Community of Aquiares of Turrialba will be visited, in the province of Cartago.
The slogan of the event is “Let’s reforest Costa Rica: planting trees in the river margins, creeks, springs, valleys and hills that are unprotected by deforestation”.
The goal is for people to plant trees in the vicinities of their homes, communities, educational centers and the province where they reside, since those are sources of life, beauty, cultural value and they aid in climate regulation and protect the water sources.
The Ecological Blue Flag Program, A&A (national aqueducts and water sewer system), ICT (Costa Rican Tourist Board), MINAE (Ministry of the Environment and Energy), CANATUR (National Tourism Chamber), MINSA (Ministry of Health) and MEP (Ministry of Education) invite you to this activity.
