Experts classify the Nobel Peace Prize, granted to President Arias in moments of armed conflicts in Central America, and EXPOTUR, as the events that have exported to the world our democratic values and our love for living peacefully and conserving nature as well as our beautiful, rich biodiversity.
Some professionals in the industry point out the need to expand EXPOTUR, not only in the capacity of the presenters, but in the quality and diversity of wholesalers and tour operators. May they come from other parts of the world that are arising as emerging niche markets, such as incentive tourism, golf, marine sports and adventure.
When it comes to biodiversity, Costa Rica's is plentiful and assorted. Also, it is even achieving surprising levels of health tourism.President Arias revealed that Costa Rica has the most trees planted per square kilometer in the world and the planting of 7 million more trees is in the works. That is worthy of being mentioned.
