ImageOscar Arias Sanchez, president of Costa Rica and Nobel Peace Prize, will be the master key to mediate between ousted Honduran President Manuel Zelaya and post-coup leader Roberto Micheletti.

The meeting will be held in Oscar Arias’ residence in San Jose, capital of Costa Rica. Zelaya arrived yesterday to the international airport Juan Santamaria in Costa Rica. Micheletti is expected to arrive today before 10am to the same airport. The negotiation is pretended to start at noon. President Manuel Zelaya will be accompanied by the vice-president Aristides Mejia and the Minister of International Relations, Patricia Rodas. Meanwhile, Roberto Micheletti will go to Costa Rica with a delegation of no more than four people.

Roberto Micheletti Costa Rican President Oscar Arias stated the importance to be reasonable and patience this is the reason he asked the Zelaya and Micheletti to take today and tomorrow. Arias' appointment was backed by the United States and announced by Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton after she met privately with Zelaya at the State Department. Even though President Arias declined to talk about the main points of the conversation, he affirmed that once Zelaya and Micheletti are sat in the negotiation table, humbleness and confidence can be generated in order to realize when negotiating not everything you want is always achieved. Oscar Arias said his house will be the best place to host this event because the negotiation will be isolated of different factors that don’t generate confidence.

Jose Miguel Inzulsa, General Secretary of the Organization of American States, was pleased to be on Oscar Arias Sanchez side. He told that President Arias is transparent and very ddemocratic to conduct the dialogue.

Manuel Zelaya There is no better person to mediate during the two presidents’ dialogue than President Oscar Arias Sanchez, especially because he is a Nobel Prize due to his work during the peace process in Central America during the 80s. This dialogue is very important in order to reach the stability in the region. This is a situation that is affecting all Central America; including imports and exports due to the closure of Hondura’s borders.

Zelaya violated the Honduras constitution ( articles 239 & 272). Why you want to force Honduras to reinstall him?
Should the USA let Nixon finish his term?
The military was ordered to arrest Zelaya, that is the rule of law in action.
