The Costa Rican tourism industry is preparing to start an innovate campaign to promote the country as a tourist destination. This initiative has been successful in other marketing systems outside the Americas such as Morocco Switzerland, Egypt, New Zealand, India and Norway in which Costa Rica would be the first country to develop in Latin America.
The details about the strategy will be announced on Tuesday, 24th November at the premises of Dionisio theater of Café Britt, Heredia.
It will meet around 100 people from the tourism industry, businesses, organizations and tourism-related entities. The activity is sponsored by the Pro-Parques organization in the practical solutions programs for sustainable national parks.
Different Tourism

All of them start from the premise that tourism market has changed in the last year and it requires a new marketing way. They will introduce new systems such as many countries have been doing recently having positive results.
During the activity, Richard Bangs a professional on tourism marketing and winner of numerous awards including the Emmy from Academy of Television Arts and Sciences will present a video suggesting the new way to sell tourism products through a program called Adventures with Purpose. Bangs has also received awards for his journalistic work.
This video has been used in tourism fairs and it is going to prepare the second part in 2010. For example in Switzerland, the video takes a specific topic, tells an innovative story different to other travel programs that had been made.
The Director of North America in Switzerland, Alex Herrmann commented with the initiative the country increased the visibility in this market and also in others. It allowed projecting the image as original destination of adventure travel such as most sustainable.
