Butterflies, scarlet macaws and red-eyed tree frogs now fly the nation's skies on the wings of NatureAir. As part of the airline's effort to renovate its designs, NatureAir has started incorporating some of Costa Rica's exuberant nature into its flights through creative design and application techniques.

Thanks to vectorial illustration and printing on adhesive surfaces specially designed for exteriors, different species are now exhibited in all planes, their splendor on the wing-to-tail sections of NatureAir planes that fly daily to Costa Rica's main tourist destinations.

The creators are graphic designers Alberto Barahona and Juan Manuel Bentacourt. The latter is now in charge of the airline's graphic design projects. Three of NatureAir's aircraft already display some of the tropical rainforest's most charismatic species. These designs are yet another attraction for travelers to Costa Rica, who never miss the opportunity to photograph these flying murals.
