Costa Rica rising tourist numbers |

 From January to April, according to the national Tourist Association, the number of tourists traveling to Costa Rica, compared to the same period in 2007, rose around 15% or 75000 persons. 2 million vacationers are predicted to be in Costa Rica through the end of the year.
Costa Rica ranked top tourist destination in Central America
For the second time in a row, Costa Rica has reached the top spot for tourism as composed by the World Economic Forum, among the Latin American countries (meaning it ranks 44 worldwide), ahead of Puerto Rico and Brazil.
This ranking list is based on the criterion of legal general conditions and economic environment as well as nature, culture and job offers. |
