A total eclipse of the Moon will be visible in Guanacaste by those who look eastwards a few hours alter nightfall on Wednesday 20th of February.
The phenomenon will begin at 19:42, when the Moon begins to enser finto the cope of shadow projected by the Earth, which, in these moments will be virtually aligned with the Sun and the Moon. From this time until 21:31, the three bodies will be in total alignment, at which moment the Moon will be barely visible.
From this point you can enjoy the best moments of the spectacle, when new rays of the Sun pass through the terrestrial atmosphere that filters out all blue light, painting the Moon with an impressive display of maroon and reddish tones. We recommend that you take the opportunity to view this spectacle given that it will nos be occurring again until the end of 2010.
