• Costa Rica received 47,771 Mexican travelers in 2009. It represents 2,4% of the total of all tourist arrivals.
The imminent arrival of the Mexican company will bring major connection to stablish direct flight to Costa Rica from Mexico and see in a short period of time the increasing number of travelers coming from there.
The opening of this new frequency of flights from the Aeromexico company to Costa Rica will increment the number of seats assigned for the country. Besides, the national tourism sector will have a benefit because there will be an augmentation of the Mexican Tourists coming to Costa Rica in the near future”, affirmed Juan Carlos Ramos, President of CANATUR.
The authorities from Aeromexico recognized the importance to operate in Costa Rica, they trust in the consolidation of the offer of the product, being the link that will allow the reception of the travelers from Mexico and other countries which make connection. Authorities from the company informed that Aeromexico will have a daily flight to Costa Rica this coming March 26.
The service of this airline is connected to 10 destinations around the world.
In 2009, a total of 47,771 Mexican tourists came. 44,438 took a plane to come, it represents 93.03% of all the people who came from Mexico.
