The Central Pacific Coast is an area that extends from Puntarenas in the North end alˇ the way to Dominical Beach in the South. It is truly one of the most interesting areas of Costa Rica as it concentrates in this area many of Costa Rica's attractions including its most visited National Park at Manuel Antonio Beach. It offers world class aerial trams near Orotina and Jaco Beach, plenty of canopy adventures with spectacular views of the treetops and ocean and some of the best sportsfishing and diving on the planes.

Puntarenas Costa Rica
Puntarenas
From Puntarenas you can embark on specialized diving boats and go out to Cocos Islands (currently a top contender in worldwide voting for the 7 natural wonders of the world) for some of the best diving experiences in the world or you can take a day trip on a Catamaran and spend your day at beautiful Tortuga Island with its gorgeous views and shiny white sand. You can experience superb golfing here already and many new courses are on the way.

Lots of spas are available and nighttime entertainment and a variety of restaurants await you. You can rent various recreational vehicles or take guided ATV tours, ride horseback on the beach or simply soak in the sun with a cool, fresh drink in your hand. In fact, if you could only visit this part of Costa Rica, you would still have plenty to do, even on a one month vacation and you would leave very, very happy.

Of course an area with so many attractions is also a real estate investors’ dream and there is currently a boom in construction and development throughout the entire area from Puntarenas where Proyecto Urbano is building its Puerto Azul Resort & Marina (see p. 34) and Golden Hills offers spectacular Otean View Homesites (see p. 32) to Herradura Bay where La Torre is building luxury condominiums (see p. 30) and Jaco Beach where high rise ocean front and ocean view towers are going up in large numbers including the beautiful Jaco Beach Towers condominiums, Resort and Spa).

If you continue South to Playa Hermosa (only 5 minutes past Jaco Beach), you will find world class surfing and endless almost deserted beaches stretching from Playa Hermosa to Esterillos to Palo Seco. In Playa Hermosa you will also find the prestigious luxury developments with their breathtaking views of Hermosa Highlands (see cover pages and page one).

Parrita Costa Rica
Parrita
Continuing South past Parrita and its many new developments under way you will go past miles and miles of African Palm plantations and reach the town of Quepos offering hotels and restaurants plus sportsfishing trips. Just past Quepos and up the hill is Manuel Antonio Beach with its incredible views, great beaches and superb dining and accommodations. Some truly wonderful developments are going up here too and you should check out the Los Altos Beach Resort & Spa Balinese style condominiums.

Regardless of your interest, whether you are here to vacation or looking for a superb investment opportunity or a great place to vacation regularly or to retire in, then the Central pacific Coast is one of the areas you should seriously consider because it has so much to offer and now that the new San Jose (Costa Rica's capital city) to Caldera Port Highway has begun construction (completion time is 2 years), you will be able to reach Jaco Beach in under an hour making what is already a boom area really explode. So now is the time to look for your very own place in paradise.
