Playa Flamingo is in the town of Flamingo, set in the Costa Rican province of Guanacaste. The water is crystal blue, and the beaches are exquisite white sand. Flamingo is home to a sizeable community of North Americans. San Jose, the capital city, is about 5 hours away by bus. Visit the local reserves of Santa Rosa and Palo Verde, known worldwide as dry tropical forests.

Flamingo it's a safe place to stay with the entire family and offers a variety of activities and hospitalities with stunning ocean views or beachfronts. Flamingo is a 50 minute (50km) drive from the Liberia Airport. You can travel with a rental car, taxi or a bus.

Flamingo Costa RicaFlamingo is a beautiful white sand beach lined with shady trees. The waves are calm, making it save for swimming or kayaking. The beach is never crowded, and offers an inspiring enviroment to relax and play. It was the first beach discovered in the peninsula of Nicoya by natives and visitors from abroad. Flamingo Beach has three large hotels and many smaller condos, apartments and homes that can be rented on a weekly basis.

Flamingo beach is picture perfect. Mild breeze comes in from the ocean, bringing foamy waves into the land. Turquoise waters, white sand, a mile-long (1.6 km) shore, deluxe resorts, nightlife and many restaurants make it the "Acapulco of Costa Rica" It has also been dubbed the sport fishing capital because it features the country's largest marina.

Many ex-pats and foreigners find a new home in the charming hills of Flamingo and real estate has become a very prosperous business. In addition to all its tropical paradise qualities, this region also offers all the benefits of a larger city including an internationally renowned English speaking high school.
