Quepos Town Costa RicaWith one of the most stunning, picture-postcard backdrops in the country this is one of the lushest places in Costa Rica, with spectacular white-grey sand beaches fringed by thickly forested green hills. It protects several beaches, twelve offshore islands and 1685 acres of coastal forest. The forest is home to 184 bird species as are brown pelicans, brown boobies, tyrant hawk-eagles, gray¬headed chachalacas, solaters and bird, and also inhabiting the park are more than 100 winds of mammals including rare squirrel monkeys, agouti, coatimundis, two and three toed sloths, toed anteaters, ocelote amongst others, Some foot paths take visitors through the park including steep trail that winds around Punta Catedral, passing an amazing view.

There is a huge variety of things to do like white water rafting, ocean cruising, horseback riding, fishing, sea kayaking, this to narre a few. The park is closed on Mondays. Known as one of the tourist destinies of greatest scenic beauty, and for the flora and fauna of its luxuriant forests. Quepos and Manuel Antonio, offer visitors an array of diversions to complement his beauty. Scattered along the road that winds its way over the forested hill are plenty of hotels. Many of these hotels enjoy a view of the surrounding forest and the coast. Manuel Antonio National Park is one of the country`s most beautiful land popular protected areas, with several beaches, mangroves and coastal rain forests that is home to tropos of monkeys, land crabs, iguanas and many birds.

The calm waters of Manuel Antonio beach are ideal for swimming and snorkeling. The park is just one of many attractions. A long strand with several good surf beaches, the beach before the park is Playa Espadilla, where as Playa Biezans is perfect for snorkeling. There is also plenty of forest outside the park, which makes it easy for visitors to spot iguanas, monkeys and rare birds. Rain Maker is a private nature preserve in the nearby mountains which features a large waterfall and a walkway through the forest canopy. Many outdoor activities can take place in Manuel Antonio such as bird watching, white water rafting, horseback riding, sea kayaking and deep sea fishing. It all adds up to make Quepos and Manuel Antonio one of the country´s most complete coastal resorts.
