Set in a cove with moderate surf suitable for swimming, this beach features a mangrove swamp and, to the north, Isla Plata and Punta Salinas, which separate Brasilito and Potrero bays; Punta Salinas offers a spectacular view of both. Because of its natural beauty and the excellent and varied services it offers, Playa Blanca is ideal for those who wish to enjoy both beach and nightlife.
Flamingo Beach
One of the finest resort areas in Costa Rica, with one of the most spectacular scenic ocean views. This 500 acre area contains several luxury homes, owned by an international community of countries as the United States, Canada, Monaco, Italy, Franca, Germany and Belgium. Its full service marina is one of Flamingo's main attractions. Daily tours are available for those adventure hungry fishermen who want to catch a lifetime experience.
Overlooking it there are a handful of hotels justified by Flamingo's attractive white sand beaches. A modern fleet of charter boats are docked in its marina. Flamingo is Guanacaste's sportfishing capital. It provides anglers access to some of the best sail and marlin fishing in the world. Consequently, this is the site for annual sailfish tournaments. It is also a good base for skin diving trips to Catalina Island and other nearby sites.
Projects for the new Marina are on their array. At least six companies are interested in its development for this ambitious project. There also are new developments of beautiful houses and a country club. Hope with all this, new investors will be coming to one of the most spectacular areas.
