Buried deep in the heart of the forest, Franck and Christine hide and silently wait with their camera ready for the animals to forget their presence and continue with their natural life, and then, after their patient wait the magic happens. After 15 years of working in a public company, Christine decided to pack her things and her camera in order to see the world. She traveled to the Red Sea, Africa, Madagascar, Asia, The Bahamas, and the Caribbean until she arrived to a small country named Costa Rica. Her first visit in 1998 left an unforgettable mark and upon her return to Paris, she convinced her husband Franck to come and live together in Costa Rica.

Franck, a telecommunications engineer, was also an insatiable traveler and a lover of photography. "At first I liked photographing people in black and white more," but the natural wonders began awakening a special interest. In contrast to Africa where the animals are enormous and you can't take photographs if you're not on a jeep with all the necessary safety measures, Costa Rica generously offers amazing creatures, many small jewels that generally to not pose any threat. Only animals like snakes and crocodiles deserve respect and precaution.
This adventurous couple changed their urban routine in Paris for the beautiful essence of their lodge that is at the base of the Tenorio Volcano. "We are happy to live here because it is a small country with diverse landscapes and an incredible variety of flora and fauna, a tranquil environment, the people are nice, the country people are curious and are always willing to guide the foreigners", but what definitely captivated them was the great variety of colors captured in the wonderful images of the wild life.
"We are very careful to not affect the surroundings of the animals, in order to get better shots, that way the animals don't feel fear and come closer to us, and sometimes they don't feel us at all." Before going in search of the perfect animal shot, Franck and Chris look for information about their habitat and their behavior in order to know when the best time to photograph them is. The Quetzal, for example, can abandon their nest if they feel disturbed. Others, in contrast, are very sociable;"One time after a photo session in the forest, while we edited on the laptop computer, a spider monkey that had been rejected by its family came down, and spent the whole time laying by the keyboard looking for arms, and we named her Lucy."
This passionate couple that hunt images, want to teach about the wild life to those who don't know about it, because they fear that not knowing about the wild life, will cut the cord between humans and animals. Through their images you can understand more closely animal behaviors. They have really done an excellent job collecting information that is useful for study, especially about birds. Also, these images have a beautiful artistic composition and vivid colors. Franck and Christine want to show the incalculable importance of preserving nature and its habitants."The Costa Rican people should feel proud of what they have and how fortune they are to live here."
