This chapter discusses issues of methodology. First I will elaborate on the theoretical position of my research, followed by a discussion of the methodological approach. After this I will present the research setting and continue with a discussion of the self of the researcher, which means presenting information about me and the process I went through doing this study. Then I will elaborate on the methods of data collection, the research sample profile and the data analysis. I will end this chapter with a discussion of the limitations of my research.

Chapter 5 Conclusions and Recommendations

Throughout chapter 4 I have been discussing structural and cultural factors using my poststructural
approach. In this chapter I will just summarize the key points in the model which I
presented at the end of my theoretical chapter, followed by an explanation of the model for the case of
Costa Rica. In the second part of this chapter I will give some recommendations for further research.
